1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight (don't use canned chickpeas))
1/2 onion (roughly chopped)
1 cup parsley (roughly chopped (about a one large bunch))
1 cup cilantro (roughly chopped (about a one large bunch))
1 small green chile pepper ((serrano or jalapeno pepper))
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cardamom
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. chickpea flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
oil (for frying)

Soak your dried chickpeas overnight or for at least 8 to 12 hours.

Pulse all the ingredients to a food processor.

Chill the falafel.

Shape the falafel.
